The elusive Manjaros. It is very hard to get a table Manjaros anytime after work or on the weekends. They always have a queue but it is definitely worth the wait! The food here is amazing! Prices are decent and portion sizes are for a big eater. I would definitely get 1 or 2 dishes to share as opposed to getting 1 main dish per person, unless you’re really hungry! The chicken parm is to die for!

The milkshake was amazing as not many places have milkshakes with multiple chocolates! The burger was slightly expensive, however tasted decent.

Unfortunately, the website sells the restaurant to be a great gourmet burger joint, which definitely is quite the opposite of what it really is. The only good thing I felt was the design on the burger itself (picture attached). I ordered the Zen Burger which was £12 and had a Wagyu patty, Turkey Bacon, pickles and sauce. The burger was ok. The buns were different to your standard sesame seed or brioche bun, but a bao bun type bun, which was nice. Unfortunately, the buns were not toasted or warmed up and was kind of cold. We also ordered Happy Wings, Fries and Chicken Gyoza’s as starters. Overall, mediocre and overpriced.

Amigos Burgers & Shakes

A very standard burger shop that claims to be gourmet. Having gone to Amigos during the government’s ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme, the restaurant was extremely busy. No social distancing in place and cleanliness was just ok. Due to how busy the restaurant was, the food took almost 1 hour to arrive. Even after waiting so long, the food tasted sub par and the burger patties were dry and tasteless. The only plus side to the meal was the cheesy chips.

Slim Chickens

I’ve heard a fair few decent things about Slim Chickens, however I’d say that it unfortunately did not live up to the hype. It may have been that I didn’t get the right thing, but the food was generally pretty bland across the board if it wasn’t for the sauces they provide. Ordered the cayenne ranch sandwich (burger) and 4 tenders. The chicken in the burger was cold, bland and had barely enough of the ranch sauce for it to be called a ranch sandwich. The portion of “seasoned” chips was pretty hefty though, lacked the so called seasoning. The chicken tenders were super hot and fresh! However, couldn’t taste any seasoning. General cleanliness and service was decent, as you’d expect at a fast food chain.

Smashed beef burger, grilled or fried chicken burger or fish burger. Whatever you’re feeling, they’ve got it. Really great smash burgers. It seems like you can get as many toppings you want without being charged extra! Definitely recommend getting their double beef burger with loaded chips.

A great create your own burger joint or they have standard burgers & hotdogs you can get. Will definitely recommend building your own burger as they have a lot of different burger options (bun, meat, toppings). I will also definitely recommend getting their wings.

A supposed fine dining establishment, however run by young people that don’t know basic customer service. Food was sub par. I will give them the benefit of the doubt for 2 things. 1, the manager openly took feedback from us and 2, it was Ramadan so the service likely would have slipped due to all the orders coming out at once.

A good place to take the Mrs on a date night/anniversary/birthday. After their renovation, the decor makes the place look quite classy. Price wise, you’re looking to spend around £60-£80 for 2. Food wise, I think it’s ok but not the best. Starters and sides were ok but the main course of ribeye steak was cooked to perfection.

One of the best burger joints I’ve been to. All their beef burgers are Wagyu and taste phenomenal! They have an online ordering system for takeaway and collection, which is super cool for a small business. They do not have many seats available in the store front but most customers tend to get their food to go. Would definitely love to see them open up a bigger branch.
